Welfare

Studying and living in Oxford is a great experience, but it is sometimes difficult—particularly with the added burdens of the pandemic. Luckily, Oxford is well set up to help anyone who is struggling, whether the problem is big or small, and whether related to your work or not. People are always available to talk, and are happy to help.

There are many welfare support services in Oxford run by the university itself. You can find out about those here. Closer to home, Balliol has a number of people you can talk to about anything which is worrying you.

The MCR has two welfare officers, whose details can be found on the MCR Committee page.

More can be found out about the college’s welfare provision on the Balliol website. If you experience any financial difficulties while you are at Balliol or have any financial aid enquiries, please contact the Student Finance Officer.
